Eurorack Oscilloscope

If you are a modular synthesizer enthusiast, you know the importance of having an oscilloscope module in your setup. It helps you to get visual information about the signals passing through your system and is an essential tool for building new modules or for live sessions.

In this article, I will guide you through building an open-source Eurorack oscilloscope module. The module is simple to use and is based around the JYETECH DS0 138 MINI oscilloscope.

Design Choices

The presented Eurorack oscilloscope module is based on the JYETECH DS0 138 MINI. This oscilloscope was chosen for its compact size, affordability, and ease of use. It is a portable, handheld oscilloscope with a 2.4 inch color TFT LCD display and offers a bandwidth of up to 200 kHz. The JYETECH DS0 138 MINI oscilloscope provides a cost-effective and user-friendly solution for adding oscilloscope functionality to a modular synthesizer system.

To power and input signals into the oscilloscope, I have included an adapter board. The board features two jack inputs, one for the actual input and the other as a thru output. It also includes a 5v regulator and a voltage protection diode for added safety.
